Ethiopia possesses an ancient and continuous written culture preserved in Gəʿəz parchment manuscripts, which serve as primary sources for theology, history, and philology. Despite their global significance, many collections in remote regions remain undocumented and are deteriorating due to poor storage conditions, environmental threats such as humidity and pests, and the risk of illicit trafficking. This study focuses on the previously unrecorded collection at Däbrä Səbäh Məkra Iyasus Church in Dabärq, North Gondar, which houses a repository of approximately 25 historic manuscripts. The primary goal of this research is to provide a systematic descriptive catalogue of 12 selected manuscripts from this church to ensure their long-term preservation and enhance their scholarly accessibility. Employing a descriptive- qualitative research design, data were gathered through direct physical observation, codicological inspection, and high-resolution photography. The analytical framework involved a systematic evaluation of codicological, paleographic, and textual features to characterize the material construction, chronology, and provenance of each codex. The findings reveal a diverse range of genres, including hagiographies (Gädl), miracles (Täʾammər), and liturgical texts, with the majority of the collection exhibiting the 19th-century Gondarine scribal hand. While some manuscripts remain in fair condition, others are significantly damaged and require urgent conservation intervention. By documenting these "hidden" artifacts, this research fills a critical gap in the ecclesiastical heritage of North Gondar and provides a foundation for future preservation strategies. The resulting descriptive catalogue serves as a vital management tool for church administrators and a primary resource for scholars in the field of Ethiopian Manuscript Studies.
