his study sought to assesses the relationships among occupational stress,job satisfaction ,and professional commitment of secondary school teachers. Teachers of four high schools in Awi . ·- zone were participants of the study. The participants of the study were 115 that were taken from '> four secondary schools of Awi zone namely, Chagni, lnjibera, Addiss kidam, and Dangella by using simple random sampling techniques. Data were collected using questionnaires. To analyze the data correlation analysis, regression analysis, and t-test were used. The results of the correlation analysis revealed that occupational stress correlated significantly and negatively with job satisfaction and professional commitment. Job satisfaction correlated significantly and positively with professional commitment. The results of multiple regression revealed that job stress and job satisfaction significantly predicted job commitment and job satisfaction was <significantly predictor of professional commitment. Also occupational stress was significant predictor of job satisfaction. The results oft-test revealed that teachers have higher 11 professional interest than the expected and teachers are less satisfied with their jobs. Also the ~ Abstract results oft-test revealed that teachers had highly job stressed than the expected.
