dc.description.abstract The objective of this study is to examine the effect of organizational culture traits namely; Organizations’ communication culture, trust culture, and innovative culture on employee commitment in Amhara National Regional state Cooperative Promotion Agency. Based on the work of Denison on organization culture traits and Mowday on employee commitment, a structured questionnaire is developed and self-administered to employees in Agency. A total of 52 employees participated in the study and data’s are analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results show that the three traits measuring organizational culture are all positively related with employee’s commitment within the range of r=0.468 to r=0.594. Moreover, organizations innovative culture is the most contributing organizational culture traits in the prediction of employee commitment with un standardized beta value .347. The other two organizational culture traits, in their descending order of unstandardized coefficients are trust culture, and communication culture. Furthermore, multiple regression analysis is used to measure the statistical effect of each individual independent variable on the dependent variable.Thetest result indicated that the alternative hypothesis of innovative cultureis supported by the multiple regressions because the p<0.05. However, trust culture and innovative culture doesn’t have significant effect on employee commitment as it is explained by significance level p>0.05.The implications of the findings are discussed and recommendations made. en_US
