dc.description.abstract According to Ethiotelecom, there are over 25mill internet subscribers in Ethiopia which can be potential e-commerce technology consumers. Studies show that even though the number of internet users is increasing very fast, e-commerce usage in the country is not as part of their lives as in other countries did. This study examines top management support, relative advantage, technology readiness, perceived usefulness, security concerns, cost concerns, technology compatibility, vendor support, the complexity of technology, perceived ease of use, and government support for adopting technologies in Ethiopian Small and Medium Enterprises. A questionnaire-based survey has collected from 308 Small, and Medium Enterprises found in Ethiopia's northern, central, and eastern parts. This study integrates three technology adoption frameworks to study factors from behavioural, organisational, and environmental perspectives. Diffusion of Innovation (DOI), Technology Organization Environment (TOE), and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are three of these frameworks. Based on this integrated framework, this study proposed eleven hypotheses. Those hypotheses are tested using Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for factor validity and structural equation modelling (SEM) for model evaluation. The analysis results show that top management support, relative advantage, technology readiness, and perceived usefulness positively influence e-commerce adoption. The security concerns, cost concerns, technology compatibility, vendor support, the complexity of technology, perceived ease of use, and government support negatively influence the adoption of e-commerce technology. The study shows the factors influencing e-commerce technology adoption in the country. The government and other stakeholders will get the main barriers to adopting the technology in the country. The findings help Small and Medium Enterprises what the factors to adopt e-commerce technology. It also allows policymakers and technology providers what should be their primary focus. en_US
