Abstract:
Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (Massive MIMO) is one of the latest technologies, which has been developed to combat the major problems encountering wireless
communications. Massive MIMO was developed to improve communication’s capacity,
range, reliability, throughput, to overcome bandwidth limitations, and to combat fading.
But the performance of a Massive MIMO system depends on the characteristics of the
transmission and reception antennas but also on the channel where the signals propagate.
Wireless channels suffer from interference and fading which causes errors and problem of
efficiency. So to overcome this problem channel coding technique and precoder algorithms
are proposed which reduce bit error occurring and increase the capacity of the system.
Channel coding is a method to enhance the reliability of data transmission of Massive
MIMO systems by reducing the Bit Error Rate (BER) of information. Wireless channels
are exposed for interference and fading which causes performance degrade, so to over come
this the transmitter adds additional information before the data is sent is called channel
coding and precoding to alleviate interference. However, all channel coding techniques
did not use large code word length so to solve this problem we proposed LDPC code
which use large code word length. In addition to type of channel coding techniques ,code
rates also has great impacts on the performance of Massive MIMO systems.
Therefore, in this work with the objective of analysis of the performance of of LDPC
coded Massive MIMO system by implementing different code rates with linear precoder
algorithms. we analyzed performance of Massive MIMO system and we can achieve a
BER of around 10
−6
. The tool which we used for analysis is MATLAB software.
