Back ground: Quality of life is the most significant consequences open to investigation in healthcare a system which is influenced by an individual’s physical and mental health. Therefore, important to identify factors that may deteriorate the quality of life of patients living with HIV/AIDS and measures that will improve their overall wellbeing. Objective:The aim of this study was quality of life and associated factors among adult people living with HIV/AIDS. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was conducted on 781 randomly selected PLHIV who were attending ART Clinic. We used a Systematic random sampling technique to select participants in public health facilities of north showa zone, Amhara region fromJune 1/2021 toAugust 30 2021. The interviewers administered a structured questionnaire consisting of the WHOQOL-HIV BREF tool to measure the quality of life. Socio-demographic variables of study participants were collected. Clinical variable like CD4 count and HIV/AIDS clinical stage were extracted from their clinical records. Mean scores were calculated and the mean scores was taken as the cutoff to categorize participants into two groups representing poor and good quality of life. Simple binary logistic regression and multivariable logistic regression analyses were used to determine significant variables. All variables with p-value ≤ 0.25 in simple binary logistic regression were considered as eligible variables for multivariable logistic regression. Variables with p-value ≤ 0.05 in multivariable logistic regression were considered as predictor variables. Results: Among 737 clients, about 397(53.9%) had good quality of life status. Place of residence (AOR = 1.499 [95% CI = 1.075, 2.091]), marital status (AOR= 1.750 [95% CI = 1.090, 2,188]) and CD4 count (AOR = 1.643 [95% CI = 1.175, 2.298])were associated with good quality of life. Conclusion:Among the total of adult PLHIV receiving HAART at North showa zone public health facility, about 397(53.9%) had good quality of life. Being urban residence, being married and high CD4 counts were the significant associated factor ofgood quality of life. Accordingly in order to improve the quality of life of PLHIV, there should be improved income and Education status of PLHIVin order to increase good quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS.
