Introduction: Repeated induced abortion is having induced abortion two or more times before 28 weeks of gestation.Even though repeated induced abortion is a growing challenge in both developed and developing countries, a complication related to repeat-induced abortion is more common in developing countries. Objective: To assess the prevalence and associated factors of repeated induced abortion among women seeking abortion care service at the health institution of Debre Markos town. Methods: Institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted among systematically selected 406 womenwho wereseeking abortion care servicefrom April 10 to June 15, 2022, at the health institutions of Debre Markos town. Data were collected by trained data collectors using pretested structured interviewer-administered questionnaires' through epicollect5. Dataanalysis was made by Statistical Package for Social Science version25. Bivariate (p-value<0.2) and multivariable logistic regression was computed toidentify the association between dependent and independent factorsand a p-value<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Hosmer and Lemeshowtests were done to check model goodness of fit and multicollinearity waschecked by tolerance and variance inflation factors. Frequency and percentage was computed. Result: In these study 406 women participated making a response rate of 95%.The study revealed that theprevalence of repeated induced abortion was 21.9% with 95% CI (18.1, 26.1). Age group greater than or equal to 30years (AOR=5.505, 95% CI 1.279, 23.696), number of sexual partners greater than one (AOR=5.148, 95% CI 2.410, 10.997), and ever-drank alcohol (AOR=2.535, 95% CI 1.033, 6.218) were found to bestatistically significant. Conclusion: The prevalence of repeated inducedabortion is low as compared to study done in Ethiopia. The studies identified that age, the number of the sexual partner, and ever-drank alcohol are factors associated with the magnitude of repeated induced abortion. I recommend to the regional health offices, zonal health offices and non-governmental organizations to give health education and counseling to women who has a history of multiple sexual partners, women age >=30 years and ever-drank alcohol.
