Abstract:
Reverse logistics practice is a vital approach to enhance operational performance of the
company but many organizations do not understand the benefits of reverse logistics practice
on operational performance of the company.
So the primary focus of this study is to analyse the effect of reverse logistics practice on
operational performance in manufacturing company found in Bahir Dar Coca-Cola
Company in focus.
Which lead this study into the front for this study explanatory research design was employed
with a sample of 176 employees through stratified sampling. A questionnaire was used as a
research tool for collecting data. The collected data was analysed using both descriptive
statistics (mean & standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and linear
regression).
Main findings of the study depicts that, there is positive and significant relationship between
reverse logistics practice and operational performance. Moreover, dimensions of reverse
logistics practice had a significant effect of the company operational performance.
Finally, the results on the conclusion entails us majority of respondents agreed to the fact
that the company reverse logistics practice is good in terms of (reusing, recycling,
remanufacturing, repackaging) and there is also a good operational performance in terms of
(cost, quality, flexibility and delivery). Moreover, from the results it can be concluded that
there is strong and positive relationship between the reverse logistics practice and
operational performance of the company.
