Abstract:
The main aim of the study was to examine the effect of procurement management practice on
operational performance in case of Abay Basin Development Office. Both descriptive and
explanatory research design was used. 115 are sample of the study from whole members staff of
the organizations by censuses techniques, close ended questionnaire was used for the purpose of
collecting the requirement data associated to the study from Abay basin development office
management and employees. In order to analyze, interpret and present the data captured via
questioner, statistical package for the social science (spss) version 26 was used. The collected
data was analyzed using both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (multiple linear
regression). The main findings of the study were, from the dimensions of procurement
management practice Supplier selection, Supplier relationship and Contract management had
significant effect on operational performance of the Abay basin development office while
organization structure has no significant effect on operational performance.
