Doping and the use of performance-enhancing drugs in athletes have become hot topics in recent years. The knowledge and attitudes regarding doping among athletes appear to be among the numerous variables that may affect whether someone may intend to take part in doping. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the level of doping knowledge and attitude towards doping among middle and long-distance athletes in the case of Amhara region„s athletics clubs. A cross-sectional study with specially designed knowledge-based questions and eight items of PEAS with six Likert scale scores for attitude among the convenient sample clubs for their middle and long distance athletes purposively. The six Amhara region„s athletic clubs that competed in the Amhara region„s athletic championship served as the study's overall target population, and the researcher wanted to utilize samples from all middle and long distance athletes for each clubs purposively. The data collected from the study subjects was analyzed by Using chi-square and binary logistic regression. The result of the finding indicates that 41.6% of an athlete had adequate knowledge and 66.0% of them had a favorable attitude toward doping Clubs in the region„s al state were chosen using the convenience sampling technique. The findings of the study also supported by the collected data on further support the data sociodemography variables including age, training experience, and educational status of an athlete are strongly associated with athletes' attitudes and knowledge about doping with a significant associations level between variables at 5%, the association between the variables and independent variables are stated clearly.
