This study was carried out with the primary objective of understanding the level and relationship
between occupational stress and employees performance of Gazgibla woreda Agriculture pool. It also
tried to identify the impact of Job individual demand, task demand, role demand, interpersonal
demand, organizational structure, organizational leadership, and organizational life stage on
employees performance. These objectives are reached through the application of Explanatory
analysis. The study employed standard questioners which administrated to collect data from the
respondents. Frequencies, descriptive statistics, bivariate correlation analysis techniques, and
regression analysis used to analyzed the collected data. Analysis is applied to find out the level of
stress and correlation coefficient is useful for finding out the relationship between variables.
Regression analysis is applied to test the impact of stress on performance. It is concluded that stress
had an impact on employees performance, at the same time The influence of stressors are higher on
employee performance.
Majority of the respondents reported to work under pressure and that they feel uncared for by the
organization and It was recommended that Management and all concerning parties must conduct an
analysis of the organizational mood and climate by assessing the reasons why the employees think
their organization does not care about its employees and what they can do to change it. It was also
suggested that an Employee Assistance Programs be introduced for early identification and
intervention on problems so that efficiency levels. |
