Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between organizational/internal
factors and to what extent these factors affect the practice of corporate entrepreneurship in
public sector organizations in case of ANRS TIMDB. The study was guided by four specific
objectives. The study adopted quantitative research approach and explanatory design. The
population of the research consists of the 175 employees in ANRS TIMDB at 2017. 122
employees were included by systematic sampling technique in the study. The study used primary
data by using questionnaires. Frequency, percent, mean, standard deviation, correlation and
regression was used in the analysis of data. The data was analyzed by using descriptive and
inferential statistical tools. Internal consistency of data was checked using Cronbach Alpha
Coefficient. The findings discovered that management support, organizational structure, rewards
& motivation and organizational culture were found as relevant and influential factors in the
practice of corporate entrepreneurial behavior of employees at ANRS TIMDB. The study further
discovered that all internal factors (management support, organizational structure, rewards &
motivation and organizational culture) had positive effect on corporate entrepreneurship
practice at ANRS TIMDB. The study recommends that the management team be willing to accept
and warmly welcome employees’ ideas and suggestions for the whole organizational
performance. In order to be able to create an environment suitable for corporate
entrepreneurship, ANRS TIMDB needs to know how to design its organizational structure.
Rewards and motivation should be depending on employees’ innovativeness without corrupted
practices and should have consistency in the Bureau. The result also shows that to develop and
promote a culture of corporate entrepreneurship, encouraging the spirit of teamwork among
employees, participation, flexibility and mission objectives with an emphasis on innovation, risktaking,
freedom, as a factor to be considered. The study motivated the other researcher to put
his/her own contribution since the public sectors service providing is not yet well strong as
developed countries and need further studies on this area.
