dc.description.abstract	This research was conductedon single moms who are HIV positive with the general objective of exploring their lived experience with taking care of theirchildren alone while they are in need of care and support by themselves, in the case of Mekdim Ethiopia National Association Bahir Dar Branch. The study was conducted using qualitative research approach with Phenomenological design. The data was collected through in-depth interview and observation from 10 HIV positive single moms who are selected purposively with the support of Mekdim Ethiopia National Association Bahir Dar branch office coordinator and care givers.According to the result of this study they do have double problem of psychology since they worried not only for themselves specifically those moms with HIV positive children have triple stress of themselves, taking care of their children and worrying how to make their child live long since they acquired HIV from their mother without their sin; economic up to the maximum of malnourishment and being street living: social up to being beaten by their neighbors with their children; health, additional health problem like liver & mental stress were some of their problems. A great challenge from all HIV positive single moms in this study was having HIV positive chilled and unable to give ART due to dilemma of making a child mentally disturbed or leaving her disclosed and worrying about her future life.The copying strategy they implemented was taking ART, leaving their residential area, joining PLHIV association, looking for counseling service, and support from PLHIV association, family, friends and religious places, making their effort to solve their economic problems, living for the sake of their children’s better life and keeping silent till things get solution. But those who married again to solve their loneliness were with another challenge being left alone while being pregnant.So, according to this result those organizations who are engaged in HIV issue specially, for GOs, NGOs, FBOs, and PLHIVsassociations shall give attention for HIV positive single moms. Moreover since this area is not explored sufficiently, they shall better study more research on it.	en_US
