Abstract:
The primary purpose of this study was to examine the effects of selected types of circuit exercise on enhancing endurance of the handball players. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of physical fitness performances on 16 male handball players of Bahirdar city handball players. These 16 male players were assigned as one quasi experimental group and their age ranges u-17 years. All subjects participated in selected circuit training for 12 weeks i.e., three days per week and 60 minutes duration per day. Pre-test and posttest measurement were conducted on physical fitness variables such 12 minutes run test, sit up test and chin up test. The data collected from subjects were analyzed by paired simple t-test to determine the differences between pre-test and post-test mean value results of the participants of the study. According to the findings of the study, 12 minute run 131.250 per minute mean differences, In sit up test MD=3.250 ,and the chin up test results of MD=1.188 data were observed. Therefore, the results obtained from the study indicate that there were significant improvements within 12 minutes run, sit up and chin up test. So, the results of this study suggest that the circuit training program improved muscular endurance, strength endurance and cardio respiratory endurance of the study subjects. This program may be used as a guideline for selecting a set of exercise to improve physical fitness.
