The main purpose of the study was to investigate the Organizational structure and Financial management practice in some selected premier league football clubs. The target population of the study was the Ethiopian premier league football clubs who were participating in 2010 E.C. tournament.Out of the target population six football clubs (i.e. about 37% of the total participating clubs) were included in the study via purposive sampling technique. Participant in this study were Board member, Club manager, Head coach, Team leader, Finance head, Technical staff and Team Capitan of the six football clubs participating in 2010 E.C tournament of the Ethiopian Premier League. Participants from the six clubs were selected based on their position in the club. They were asked to fill the structured questionnaire and were collected from the respondent .Semi structured interview was also carried out with those who are known for their carrier within football clubs. The total number of respondent participated in the questionnaires were 42 from six clubs. Data collected were described and analyzed on the basis of qualitative and quantitative method. And this study concluded by finding out the following:-There is a lack of and a need for FIFA standard club management system, there is lack of and the need for club employees to be professional and the need of closeness of the management with employees of clubs. At last, it is recommended that system must be made to boost up the club annual budget, |
