Abstract:
The ultimate objective of this study was to assess the level of integrated management of sport administration on youth football projects development in Oromo zone, Amhara regional state. From21 male youth football projects in Oromo zone 12of them found in four weredas Kamissie town, Arxuma fursi weredas, Dawa chefa weredas, and Bate town were selected using purposive sampling. Availability sampling techniques were employed to select 12 coaches, 20sport expert, 24football committee members and 36sport council members working the selected youth projects. In addition, from 360trainees of the selected projects, 120trainees 10from each projects were select using systematic sampling techniques. To collect valuable data the researcher used questionnaires, observation and document analysis. The data gather through questionnaires were analyzed by using quantitative analysis through percentage and the data gathered through observation and document analysis were analyzed qualitatively. The major finding of the study as include: there is no integrated management of the projects activities, the stakeholders like coach, expert, and football committee and sport council were organized to support the projects, lack of supporting, monitoring and evaluating between coach, expert and football committee and youth football projects, absence of well-organized supervision teams and absence common minute regarding to the projects activities implementation among sport administrative and the projects. In addition, lack of organized document that indicate duties and responsibility of stakeholders, absence of selection committee and requirement criteria, absence of common checklist, unqualified and experienced coach and expert and lack facilities and equipment and budget are some of major the finding of this research. Finally, possible recommendations were forwarded based on the major finding so as to minimize problems encountered the integrated management system in youth football projects.
