This study attempted to evaluate the status of students and parents trust
towards in Pawi woreda, Benishangul Gumuz Region. The question that
guided the study were: To what extent students have trust in government
schools? To what extent parents have trust in government primary schools?
Are there a difference in students and parent- school trust across schools? If
so, what conditions predict the verietior s between schools in students and
parent-school trust? Is there a s[gnificant relationship between students and
parents trust? 129 students and their respective parents were the subject of
this studi,. Studente were selected using simple random sampling techniques
through ·lottery method while· parents were selected by using purposive
sampling techniques. The data collected was analyzed by using descriptive
statistics, t-test, one-way ANOv_A_, and Pearson moment correlation methods.

. Analysis of the data revealed that: parents and students exhibited high
level of trust, parents and students trust indicated a positive correlation, and
there was a significant difference in parents school trust across schools .
.. However, no si~nifir;ant difference in st_udents' school trust across schools.
l:::b-c?tionlresidence areas and educational backgrounds are found to be the
predictor of trust. The study indicated that no significant difference in mean
score between students and parents. The results of the study are discussed |
