Abstract:
he purpose of this study was to assessing the Amhara educational radio program motivates,
engages and enhance students' learning. Data for this study have been drawn from grade 6
students of 4 selected primary full cycle schools. In these schools, there are a total of 102 7
grade 6 students. Two hundred students have been involved in filling questionnaires. The data
collected through questionnaire method was analyzed based on one sample t- test. On the light of
analyzed data, the major finding of the study pointed out that most students agreed on the radio
education program has effect on students motivation, engagement, and enhancement of Learning.
Through these findings it was implicated that it is imperative to evaluate and get feedback from
students about whether the program has. effect on students' motivation, engagement,
enhancement of learning etc. Since most students agreed that the program motivates, engages,
and enhances learning. This findings also could imply that the Regional Education Bureau
should increase the number of schools where the program is broadcast and the schools should
have sufficient numbers of radio sets and adequate repair services for radio education materials.
