dc.description.abstract The major purpose of this study was to examine the status of JCT integration on the · J-<2 ) u-JY~ teaching-learning activities and its impact on student achievement. A total of 159, (120) ye ---·------ students. 36 instructors were selected using stratified and 3 higher officials using purposive sampling from education and behavioral sciences. college of business. and economics, School of textile technology and School ofchemical andfood engineering. and College of Science faculties. Questionnaire. document analysis and interview were used as instruments. And students' semester average academic scores (academic Achievement) were collected from record offices of respective faculties. Percentages, t­ test and Pearson correlation coefficient were used for data analysis. Results obtained through correlation displayed that students JCT utilization significantly correlated with academic achievement. I-test also revealed that students had moderate attitude towards ICT No sex difference was observed in JCT utilization and achievement. In addition, there was Lack of availability of and access for JCT resources. barriers of 1( '7:1 integration was found to be the main problem for teachers on JCT\-, students arefound lo he incompetent in basic computer skills, no skilled technical personnel to provide assistance to teachers and students when they face difficulties using computers. Based on the findings obtained some of the recommendations were that to support further developments in teachers' skills and increase their competence and confidence in the use of ICT the higher officials ofthe university should ensure a range of support in the area of continuing professional development. The academic and Administrative staff' of the HDU should motivate students to use JCTS in order lo support this study This can he achievedfrom the side of the administration byfacilitating students to have access ofIt:": resources. The academics should integrate JCT in their teaching methods and persuade students to use computers by writing assignments or searching the internet for informationfor the lessons availability of computer centers in eachfaculty is a necessity en_US
