The purpose of this research was to asses' variables that affect the performance of De bub
police football club to improve the challenges and to suggest strategies of the club.
Descriptive survey research method was employed and quantitative and qualitative
research method was conducted to meet the research objectives. In this research
comprehensive sampling techniques was employed as a sample 30 players, 7 coach staff
members, 7 Club administrative members and 5 sport expertise according to their
experience by using purposive sampling technique were included. Moreover, the number
of club fans was not known they don't have their own identity card and organized
document; because of this a quota sampling technique was employed, to select a sample
of 45 fans. The researcher used a variety of data gathering instruments. These were
questionnaire, interview and observation check list. In this study the primary data was
collected from players, coach stajfs, sport expertise, fans, and club administrative
members and secondary data was obtained from document. The collected data were
tallied, tabulated and put using percentage. Then descriptive analysis was made for each
report counts and percentage. The result of the study indicates that various problems
affect the performance ofDPFC. The major finding of the study was concerned, lack of
dormitory servi9e., weak fans' association, Society support was poor during training and
match day, weak evaluation and monitoring was practiced and also absence of 'friendship
match during preparatory period. Therefore to reduce the encountered problem of
DPFC, the club administrators should have to exercise co-operative work, strengthen
discussion with all the concerned bodies and stakeholders, motivate and provide
adequate incentives for team members. The club should ensure financial adequacy by
innovating income generating activities, should make availability of the necessary sport
materials and suitable training field and ensure quality of training and must be
