The purpose of this study was to. compare female and male student participation in
physical education practical session between male and female students in Mankussa
General and Preparatory School. To realize the purpose of the study, descriptive survey
research design was employed. The data was collected from 133 (one hundred thirty
three) and 3 (three) HPE teachers. The participants selected by random sampling
methods. The needed data was obtained by means of questionnaires distributed to
MankussaSecondery School Students, interview which was designed school HP E teachers
and finally observation was used during practical class. The data was analyzed using
both qualitatively and quantitatively. After distributing and collecting the data,
questionnaires are analyzed by" independent t-test spss v20 were used and those data that
get from interviews and observations' analyzed by narrative approach. The result of data
analysis indicated that male students are more participant than female students; there
was a significance difference between male and female students in terms of participation
in physical education practical session. In conclusions of the study also indicated that the
participation scope is significantly longer for male than female students. Hence, it is

recommended to aware the importance of participating in physical education for female
students, parents should give more attention for female students as males to participate in
physical education practical session HP E teachers have to encourage & motivate female
students to develop positive attitude & to participate in practical session. Finally, the
researcher would like to recommend other concerned and interested individuals to
carryaut deeper and wider research work in this issue, the comparative study of male and
female students in physical education practical session. |
