Abstract:
The study was conducted to assess the contribution of traditional treatment
(wogesha) practice on sport injuries treatment in the case of selected football club
players, in Amhara league football clubs, at South Gonder Administrative Zone.
For this study (8) traditional healers, (48) players, (3) coach and (4) sport

administrators were selected with purposive sampling. Cross-sectional/survey
study with qualitative and quantitative research methods was employed. Data were
collected using closed and open-ended questionnaires, observation and semi
structured interviews. The data gathered through questionnaire were analyzed by
using frequency counts and their percentages; were as the data gathered through interview and observation was analyzed through descriptive statements. The
finding of the study .was a positive indicator about the contribution of traditional
treatment practice on sport injuries Jreatment in the case of selected football club
players in ~Amhara league football clubs. Especially, for dislocation injury, In
addition, it could be the input for the researcher who wants to study in the field.

and i'n,cluded a greater focused on the contribution of traditional treatment.
