Abstract:
to differentiate the existing situation clearly. The students and teachers were properly
piloted before hand/or 20 and 3 subjects respectively to assure the reliability and validity
of the study. The collected quantitative data were changed into numerical measurements
then analyzed and interpreted by using percentage in a careful & systematic way. The
result of the study shows that the students had low Attitude and interested in learning
,t Basketball, lack of encouragement from· teachers, family , school Administrators and
other concerned bodies, - and little attention given from administrator bodies for the
._ basketball course, low participation of students in Basketball activities, low period

The present study was designed to investigate the "Factors that affect Basketball
teaching learning practical session in case of Anbessamie preparatory school". To this
end descriptive survey method was employed. The subjects who involved in this study
were 120, student, 7, Physical education teachers and 2, school Administrators. Hence,
the students and school administrators and teachers were selected by using random and
purposive sampling technique respectively. In this study, questionnaire, structured

allotment, the course had not attractive, low department meeting in teaching Basketball
lesson, low clarity of objectives, lack of demonstration of skills and techniques to their

materials), Abs,.ence of basketball playing field, lack of rooms for changing sport wear,
lack of first aid service, Absence of reference book in the library, Based on the study
