Abstract:
The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of skill related physical fitness (speed,
agility and power) training on technical and tactical skills development of under 17 male football
project players. Dessie city U-17 male football project was selected purposively and from 30-
players (ages 15 to 16 years) were divided into 2 groups randomly. The experimental group
(n= 15) performed a speed, agility and power training together with regular work and control
group (n= 15) performed regular work only. These speed, agility and power training programs
were performed 3 days per week for 8 weeks. Before the experimental session and at the end of 81h
week training programs, all players.skill related physical fitness variables were assessed using
(35 meter dash, Illinois agility run and vertical jump tests for speed, agility and power),
technical 's kill variables were assessed using (passing target, figure 8 dribbling and shooting
accuracy tests for passing, dribbling and shooting) and tactical skill variables (creating space,
man to man marking and dribbling penetration) were assessed using observational check list. The
