Cement is one of the construction materials available and its manufacturing is a very energy-consuming, environmentally unfriendly and greenhouse gas (GHG) emitter. The production of cement is growing every year due to its higher consumption in the construction industry. Due to high cement demand, its cost is rising as well. This thesis investigates the impact of replacing cement with ground nut shell ash on the manufacturing of cement mortar strength. These waste products are deemed to be inert and harmful to the environment. They are now considered potential alternatives to cement when making mortar. GNSA can be examined physically and chemically characterized in this thesis. In the manufacturing of cement mortar, these substitute ingredients be replace cement in quantities of GNSA can be used in various weight ratios, including 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, and the performance of the resulting mixes be compared to that of the original mortar manufacture. 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm mortar cube sample molds should be cast for the test and the specimens then be moved to a curing tank in accordance with ASTM C 192 until the test is carried out. The mortar mixtures' physical and chemical qualities are tested for comparison. At 3, 7, 28, 56 and 90 days, respectively, the results of the mechanical properties tests, including workability, water absorption capability, compressive strength, UPV, porosity and sulfate attack, thus compressive strength, sulfate attack, UPV are increase up to 10% inverse of water absorption, porosity and microstructural properties Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray florescence (XRF) of mortar when partially replaced by GNSA can be known. Finally the test result indicates that use of GNSA in mortar has improved the performance of mortar in strength as well as in durability aspect. The price analysis was found out by comparing one m³ of control mix mortar and made with GNSA. The result shows that the mortar made with GNSA reduces the cost of mortar.
