The need for quick responses in today's dynamic market is making repair and maintenance management tasks increasingly important for industrial firms. To effectively manage tasks like activity scheduling, planning preventive maintenance actions, data analysis (to reduce the occurrence of malfunction and failures), and augmenting the absolute performance of the maintenance function, industrial companies use information systems enabled by computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to deliver timely and accurate information. In order to increase machine availability for production by reducing downtime, enhance manufacturing performance with reduced production costs, and generate items with the appropriate quantity and quality, computerized maintenance management systems are essential in today's industries. With the goal of increasing equipment effectiveness through employee participation from top management down to shop floor workers, CMMS is a strategy to improve maintenance downtime operations. This thesis offers valuable insights into the development and successful implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) model within the context of Ethiopian plastic manufacturing industries. The research methodology employed in this study includes a detailed case study approach, involving structured interviews, on-site physical observations, data collection, and thorough analysis. Additionally, a survey questionnaire was distributed to 73 employees of the factory, achieving a 100% response rate. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics tools and validated through the use of Cronbach's alpha. The research findings, an explanation of the study that has been done, a discussion of the activities taken to achieve the project's goals, and a conclusion and recommendations section.
