Abstract:
Background: Sport is an organized, competitive form of play. Among different sports football is one of the popular sports not only in our country but also in the world body muscles and organic system developed by physical exercises help to perform everyday tasks, lead a healthy and happy life. The study was conducted 2015 E.C at guna woreda foo ball project. Objective: The overall objective of this thesis was to investigate the effect of twelve weeks plyomeric training on some selected fitness variables in case of guna football project U-13 male’s players. Methods: To achieve the objective of this study, the researcher used quantitative research method. For this study, twenty football male project players were selected as a target population of the study. The subjects were selected purposively and assigned in to two equal experimental group (10) and control groups (10) simple random sampling technique. The experimental group participated in plyometric training program 3 days/week for 12 weeks. However, the control group didn’t participate in training program designed for this study. The ages of the study participant ranged 10-12. The fitness variables: Strength, Power, speed and agility were tested. The difference between measurements analyzed was Statically by SPSS software (version 27) was used for analysis. Mean, Standard deviation, paired-samples T test were employed to analyze the collected data with the significant level of p≤0.05. Results: The result shows after the twelve-week plyometric training intervention significant mean change was found Agility (-2.722 sec at p=0.000), Power (8 sec at p=0.001), Strength (32.656 sec at p=0.000) and Speed (-1.03 sec at p=0.00). Conclusion: Twelve weeks of polymeric training has a significant effect on the improvements of agility, lower body strength fitness, Power and speed of football players.
