dc.description.abstract Background: Globally, approximately 810 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and child birth every day. Mothers’ delivery care satisfaction is one of the indicators to monitor quality health care provision and secondary prevention of maternal mortality. However, there is only limited information in the study area, the study aimed to determine level of maternal satisfaction and determinant factors among vaginal delivery care. Objectives: To assess the level of client satisfaction with delivery service and identify its associated factors at east-gojjam zone Primary Hospitals, Amhara, Ethiopia, 2022. Methods: A facility based quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted in Maternity ward of the Hospital. The data was collected using a structured interview-based questionnaire, and a total of 600 mothers was interviewed using systematic sampling technique. Data was entered EPI and analyzed using SPSS version 23.0 software package. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to assess statistical association between dependent and independent variable, and also Variables having p value less than or equal to 0.25 in binary logistic regression analysis was entered to multivariate logistic regression analysis for identifying determinants of maternal satisfaction on delivery services. A significance level of 0.05 was used in all cases Result: The total of 600 mothers participated in the study with a response rate of 99.8%. The overall client satisfaction level with the delivery services provided at the hospital was 85% 95% CI (81.4% to88.7%). Having perceived cleanliness of delivery room (AOR=13, 95%CI: 2.3, 59.8) and availability of drugs (AOR=3.659, 95%CI: 1.382, 9.688) were positively associated with maternal satisfaction on delivery service. Mothers who did attend formal education were 94.4% less likely satisfied with delivery service compared with those mothers whose educational status was diploma and above (AOR=0.056, 95% CI: 0.007, 0.431). Conclusion: This study showed that the overall level of client satisfaction with the delivery services provided at the hospitals was found to be good.
