dc.description.abstract The study presents a comparative numerical study of footings that are inclined braced depth for both centric and eccentric loading. The numerical work has been carried out using ANSYS nonlinear analysis method. The experiment results were compared with the finite element results obtained from the modeled footing. The results indicated that the analytical model using ANSYS software shows a good agreement. In this study, a total of 72 footing samples were used for numerical investigations. The main parameters of this numerical study were angle of inclined depth, loading point, grade of concrete and reinforcement ratios. All these factors or parameters have an effect on the bearing capacity of footing. The effect of depth inclination was studied for both plane and reinforced concrete bracings on centric, uniaxial and biaxial footings. The study was also done when reinforced bracings or inclined depths were starting from the edge and at the middle of half of the longitudinal bar. From the numerical results, providing of inclined depth on the footing has an importance to increase the bearing capacity of footing. The result shows that loading point has higher effect on the bearing capacity for centric, uniaxial and biaxial footings. It was also concluded that the increment of grade of concrete and reinforcement ratio increases the bearing capacity on centric, uniaxial eccentric and biaxial footings.
