dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was to assess leadership attribute and performance of youth and sport office manager in Amhara region. The data was collected through questionnaire and interview method from the list of sampling frame, a total of 116 respondents were participated in this study. The design of the study was correlational research used for both qualitative and quantitative data. The data collected were organized, analyzed and interpreted by using descriptive statics and used inferential statics like correlation, multiple regression and ANOVA. The findings indicated that communication, sport development and administration skill has 87% affect on performance of sport office managers and the relationship between leadership attribute and performance of youth and sport office managers was medium positive relationship. Consequently, it was concluded that communication, sport development and Administration skill were affected the performance of youth and sport office manager in Amhara region. Thus, it was recommended that the Amhara region zonal leader or managers should update their administration skill to work coordinately with the stakeholders of sport office, Leaders should work with sport expert, sport federation, coaches and others by developing his performance of the sport growth and the managers also need to have an enhanced communication skill which enables them to work smoothly with subordinates and most importantly with clients en_US
