Introduction: Cesarean section is the commonest, increasing time to time obstetric operative procedure and became a global concern. If emergency type it is done for life threatening condition either for the mother and/or fetus. So undue delays may end up with morbidity or mortality both or one of them, due to this reason decision to delivery interval must be within reasonable time and the recommended one is within 30 minutes. Decision to delivery interval is not only a matter of quality obstetrics care service rather it is also medico-legal issues, even though this, there is dearth of data in Ethiopia. Objective: The aim of this study will be to assess decision to delivery interval and associated factors among women who delivered by emergency cesarean section in Bahir Dar city referral hospitals, Ethiopia, 2020 Method: Institutional based cross-sectional study will be conducted from January 15 2020 to April 15 2020 at Bahir Dar city referrals hospitals in western Gojjam zone with a total sample size of 280. The eligible women will be invited to participate by using systematic random sampling technique. The data will be collected by using pretested interviewer administered questionnaire and observational check list after formal letter will be given to the concerned authority and written consent secured from every respondent. The collected data will be entered with Epi-data 3.1 version and analyzed using SPSS version 25 software. Bivariate and multivariate analysis will also be used to describe the effect of each explanatory variable on the outcome variable. P-value of < 0.05 to ensure strength of association. Work plan and Budget: The research will be conducted from January 15 2020 to April 15 2020 and total of 25000 Ethiopian birr will be used to conduct the study.
