Abstract:
Introduction: Dental caries is usually characterized by local demineralization of the hard tissues of the tooth, initially the dental enamel. The etiological microbial community of caries is diverse and contains facultative and obligate anaerobic bacteria belonging to the genera Streptococcus, Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. In this study area there was no evidence that show bacterial isolates and their susceptibility profile that cause dental caries. The aim of this study was to determine the bacterial isolates, antimicrobial susceptibility profile and associated factors among dental caries patients attending FHCSH dental clinic in Bahir Dar, North-west Ethiopia
