dc.description.abstract Background: Anemia is a global public health problem affecting about 42.6% of children globally, both in developing and developed countries and is the most common micronutrient deficiency, especially affecting young children and women of reproductive age. It causes detrimental impacts on health, economic and social development such as learning disabilities, an increased risk of infection and diminished work capacity. en_US
