An expert system is a program given a set of experts’ knowledge on the domain to solve human problems based on the context of users’ information. As the concern of patients' safety care, most of them have to contact physicians. However, most patients had a problem getting attention. We proposed to design an advisory expert system for the prevention and treatment of chronic cardiovascular diseases using hybrid approaches of rule and case-based Knowledge-Based system. It aims to provide recommended diet, physical exercise, medication selection, and other general recommendations for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which can be applicable on everyone’s android-based mobile phones. Thus the proposed medical advisory expert system will significant role in such cases where medical experts are not readily available. Treatment goals are reviled symptoms, reducing getting worse or recurring of conditions, and complications. MYSQL database is used as a development tool for data representing as case library and HeaRTDroid rule-based inference engine sets of rules and reasoning processes. Android studio is used to design interviewer components and to provide treatment recommendations. The proposed system was evaluated with an accuracy of 95% for diet, 96.5 for physical exercise recommendations, 96% of accuracy for medical treatment recommendations, and with a precision of 89%, recall 81%, and average f-measure of 84.25%. So developed model has an important role to domain experts, researchers, and others. We can conclude that a hybrid of case-based and rule-based reasoning can efficiently recommend treatments for patients based on their personal preference. Therefore, treatment recommenders are very helpful for patients and general practitioners, physiotherapists and other researches on the domain. As recommendation, future researchers can add CVD diagnosis with treatment recommendation by integrating with different technologies and by adding other features to improve the performance of the study. |
