dc.description.abstract The study was conducted in Ethiopian Premier League Football Referees. The main purpose of this study was to find out the factors that are affects the decision making ability of soccer Referees in Ethiopian premier league. Ethiopian football Referees and Assistant referees who are qualified to lead the premier league was the main target of this study. They were about58 in number and out of them 54 were selected by purposive sampling technique as the participant of the study and Coach(7), Players(8), Commissioners(J OJ were also selected by using purposive technique as the participants of the study. "Purposive sampling technique was employed to select samples, because as professionals they were supposed to give necessary and relevant information for the study". Total of 79 participants were involved in the study. The major instruments in this study were questionnaires, interview, observation and focused group discussion. The questionnaires were administered for referees, players and coaches of the teams. To consolidate the information obtained from the questionnaire, semi-structured interview was conducted with match commissioners and focused group discussion with Referees and Assistant referees, observation in a real game/ competition/ were used. Jn this study descriptive survey method was employed. The data gathered through questionnaires were analyzed by using frequency counts and their percentages; whereas the data gathered through interview, observation and focused group discussion were analyzed through descriptive statements. The major findings include that Psychological readiness of the Referees during, leading a game in high Spectators, Poor physical fitness of the Referees and Assistant referees, Fairness related factors and Knowledge related factors are the most dominant findings of the study. en_US
