The study aims to identify the impact of different dimensions of supply chain management
practices (strategic supplier partnership, customer relationship, and information sharing) and
supply chain responsiveness on operational performance of large manufacturing industries in
Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. The study was employed quantitative method, where judgmental sampling
and survey questionnaires were sent to three (3) manufacturing companies in Bahir Dar. The
study tests the relationships between supply chain management practices, supply chain
responsiveness, and operational performance using Structural Equation Modeling based on
111 responses from large manufacturing industries in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. The study has found
many empirical results which indicate that the supply chain management practices have a
significant positive impact on supply chain responsiveness and operational performance and
supply chain responsiveness have a positive and significant impact operational performance. The
study has some limitations; it‟s focused on the manufacturing sector and only deployed
quantitative method. |
