dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of FIFA11+ injury preventions warm up on agility, balance and power of Bahir Dar Kenema B male soccer team players. To achieve the purpose of the study thirty-four soccer players (X± SD= 18.3235± 0.72699 years of age) volunteered to participate in this study. All of the subjects played on Bahir Dar Kenema B Male soccer team and none of them was being trained by means of a FIFA 11+ warm up. The subjects were grouped randomly in to EG (N= 17) and CG (N = 17). All of the experimental and control group members successfully passed the physical tests administered and completed a medical history questionnaire in which they were screened for any possible injury or illness. The group received all the necessary information about the study's procedures in oral and written form. Then, the FIFA 11+ injury preventions warm up was given for the experimental group for three days per a week in addition to their regular football training for 8 weeks. Both groups underwent measurements of their Illinois agility tests, stork balance test, and vertical jump test for power before, and after the warm up program and the scores were recorded. The collected data were analyzed through paired sample T- test using SPSS version 23 with level of significant < 0.05. In EG the results were found for Illinois agility test (p =0.01), stork test (p = 0.01) and vertical jump test (p = 0.01) whereas in a CG the results were found for Illinois agility test (p=0.05), stork test (p=0.525) and vertical jump test (p = 0.046). Both groups showing improvements in all tests, but the improvement in EG was significantly more than players in the CG. It was observed that 8-week FIFA 11+ injury preventions warm up contributed to the agility, balance and power development among soccer players; therefore, the present study recommended that FIFA 11+ injury preventions warm up needs to be incorporated with regular football training program to improve the players’ agility, balance and power performance.
