dc.description.abstract The objective of this study is to examine factors affecting e- procurement adoption on telecom Ethiopia Addis Ababa head office. Based on literature reviews, the researcher identified five factors that affect e- procurement adoption. These includes: Top management support, Employee training, IT infrastructure, perceived benefit and Supplier readiness. The study tries to build on four widely used models for technology adoption, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Innovation Diffusion Theory/IDT/, Theory of reasoned action/TRA/, Technological, organizational and Environmental/TOE/ framework and to identify factors Affecting adoption of e-procurement. The hypothesis of the study was the e-procurement factors (independent variables) affect the e-procurement adoption (dependent variable) of ethio-telecom. The research design is made based on descriptive and explanatory research approaches. Both primary and secondary data were used throughout this research. For primary data, structured type open-ended questionnaires were prepared. The sample size for the research comprised 135AA telecom head office procurement employees, due to small number of target population a census was carried out. This study was conducted based on the data gathered from employees of ethio-telecom head office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Out of 135 questionnaires that have been distributed, 118 were usable. The analysis of the data is done by using multiple linear regression equation with the help of the SPSS version 20 software. The research results obtained from regression output indicated that the independent variables (Top management support, Employee training, IT infrastructure, Perceived benefit and supplier readiness) positively affect the dependent variable (Adoption of e-procurement) to a significant extent. The study has recommended telecommunication organizations of Ethiopia should incorporate all the e-Procurement practices and make this system successful. There is also need to find ways for encouraging the employees and by managing training of the new system to employees and small suppliers/vendors or small training or seminar could also be conducted for the sake of e-Procurement system to be successful. This will help to improve e-Procurement system into success. en_US
