Abstract:
Through time, Greening the supply chain is a core activity in every manufacturing company. Green supply chain management plays a great role in sustaining the environment and to be economical. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the Green supply chain management on organizational performance at Kombolcha tannery factory. Specifically, the study designed to address the effect of green purchasing, green manufacturing, green distribution, and reverse logistics on the performance of the company. A stratified random sampling technique was employed; in which the target population is stratified and then, proportional random sampling was adopted to select the required sample from each stratum. The research design employed in this study is Descriptive and inferential statics by using quantitative research methods and probability sampling technique was employed and the data collected from primary collection and analyzed by SPSS software version 23 and analyzed by using descriptive and inferential (spar man rho and multiple regression) statistics. It is advantageous to the organization implement green supply chain management practices properly to achieve organizational performance. The findings reveal that there is a relationship between green supply chain management practices and organizational performance. The result indicates that, among the variables green purchasing, green distribution and reverse logistics have significant effect on organizational performance.
