dc.description.abstract In Ethiopia, the transportation sector is the largest growing carbon emitter. Fuel powered three wheelers Bajaj is the common form of urban transportation in different Ethiopian cities, such as Hawasa, Adama, Bahir Dar and Mekelle Cities. This research is performing techno-economic assessment of solar PV powered three wheelers Bajaj in comparison to fuel powered three wheelers Bajaj encountered in Ethiopia‟s renewable energy, utilization, processes and to cope with the increasing power demand by electric three wheelers Bajaj for the near future. This study focuses on the techno-economic feasibility analysis of solar PV powered three wheelers Bajaj at Bahir Dar city. The average emission level of a gasoline powered three wheelers Bajaj in Bahir Dar is 0.0928 kilograms of 2 CO per kilometer, which is very high with an average fuel efficiency of 25 km/liter. The solar PV powered three wheelers Bajaj can travel 160 kilometers before the second recharging, with the speed of 40 kilometers per hour. The purpose of this research is to investigate the economic and technological potential for adoption of electric three wheelers Bajaj in Bahir Dar city through a techno-economic assessment of solar PV powered three wheelers Bajaj. en_US
