ABSTRACT
This master’s project based on the review of the radiation of air produced from a nanosecond
laser interaction with air plasmas. In the study Nd: YAG at a wavelength of 1064 nm with pulse
duration 6ns was used to create air plasmas. The plasmas parameters (electron density and
temperature) of air plasmas were quantified using the NIST data base standard techniques. Based
on the plasmas parameters, the spectral profile of emitted plasmas
N
and
O
are quantified
and showed the dominant line. The electron density from the literature point of view is estimated
from an isolated ion of Nitrogen or Oxygen ion density at 0.1µsis approximately is 1.3x10
,
after energy increase the density was also increase and reaches a maximum value 1.7x10
and the electron temperature is estimated from the Boltzmann plot of successive ions stages of
nitrogen. The electron temperature estimated 23400 k for

N
and 26600k for
