Abstract In this project the subgradient extragradient method for solving variational inequality in Hilbert space and the modified version of the algorithm which finds the solution of variational inequality and also a fixed point of a given nonexpansive mapping were presented. The weak convergence theorems were proved for both algorithms under some assumptions.
