This study aimed to assess the Challenges and remedies of TVET and MSE based supervision Performance in western Amhara region of Technical Vocational Enterprises Development Bureau. To achieve this purpose five basic research questions were formulated, which emphasized to which extent that TVEDB experts (supervisors) understand about the TVET and MSE based supervision in TVEDB of Amhara region particularly in western TVEDB structure. The research closely focused on various supervisory options, procedures employed on site and office observation, seeking in the training centre and MSE working place. The extent to which TVET and MSE based supervisors discharge their responsibilities and the challenges existing in the implementation of TVET and MSE based supervision applied by supervisors’ are main focuses of the reserch. To conduct this study, I used descriptive survey method and Totally 150 respondents were selected through purposive sampling technique. Open ended and closed questionnaire were used to collect data from respondents.In addition to these Interview and document analysis were used to substantiate the data gathered through the questionnaires. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were utilized to analyze the quantitative data gathered through the questionnaire.
The result of the study indicated that most of leaders, experts and trainers had lack of awareness and orientation on the activities and significance of TVET and MSE based supervision, ineffectiveness of the practices of supervisory options matching with the individual trainer’s developmental level, and inability of supervisors to apply the necessary procedures for onsite andoffice observation properly. Based on the findings, it is recommended to give relevant in-service trainings for supervisory experts to upgrade their supervisory activities andincreasing cordial ownership level of the leaders for their organization success |
