| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study was to assess the available price range of the wedding dresses in order to decrease the cost of new product. The methods which were used in the research include the descriptive survey method, which was explaining the problem of existing wedding dress in Ethiopia. This method was chosen for its relatively low cost and its suitability to show situations as they currently exit also describe the tools and materials. To this end, 15 individual tailors and 60 young females were selected using random sampling technique. In addition to that questionnaires, interviews and observation had been used. Accordingly, the data obtained from different sources were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. We carried out laboratory test for understanding technical characteristics. According to laboratory test result the fabric properties of combined wedding dress has reasonable good Drape ability, Tear resistance, Abrasion resistance and Tensile strength. The study revealed that existing wedding dress is extremely expensive; it doesn’t consider the purchasing power of the income level of Ethiopian consumers also combined wedding dress is not available in Ethiopian market. Based on market demand analysis, Questioners conducted with young female respondents. Majority of respondents’ likes’ Ethiopian traditional tilet this shows that Ethiopian traditional tilet is higher level of acceptance by Ethiopian people. And also majority of respondent replied that they have willingness to buy locally produced wedding dress better than the current available product in market. According to interview and observation result combined wedding dress is highly affordable, comfortable, and attractive and unique than the existing one. Recommendations made are: In order to reduce cost of wedding dress Ethiopian manufacturers should be substitute the current import by using locally available materials with in affordable price. To reach the availability of wedding dress product to the market, Ethiopian retailers and importers must work with integration to full fill the supply chain of wedding dress product across the market. The final output of this project will be providing the wedding dress product for Ethiopian brides with in cheap Price. | en_US |
