dc.description.abstract To obtain competitive advantage in the small and medium enterprises, the main challenge is the quality related problems. The quality improvement plan plays vital role in improving the product quality by reducing the overall quality related problems in the enterprise. This research work develops an applicable quality improvement model.Qualitative and quantitative research was employed to conduct this research. The sample size of fivesmall and medium enterpriseson suit garment was chosen for the study since 41.7% of the total garment enterprise was suit garments. Data was collected and analyzed to identify quality related problems from the enterprises using questioner, interview and direct observation. The existing problems were analyzed by using various quality tools like diagram, chart and cause-and-effect diagram. It was identified that after analysis the major cause of quality related problem was from sewing section. The major reason for these problems are due to low commitment of quality by the operators, poor quality raw materials, lack of skilled operator, and lack of state of art machines. The existing quality related problems are eliminated by implementing the quality improvement model. With this model continuousimprovement can be achieved and it will provide commendable results. en_US
