This thesis mainly explains on the reconstruction of the history of the resistance against the Italian occupation in Moţţa Awrajja between 1936 and 1941. The Awrajja was one of the main areas of resistance in the province. Except some works that examine the overall feature of resistance of the province, we have no works that are specific and focused. In this regard, the thesis analyzes the nature and structure of the Italian rule, taxation the resistance of the people. In the reconstructing the history of the resistance of the area under consideration archives have been used from National Archives and Library Agency, Debre Markos University Archive Center and private letters. These have been further substantiated and counter-checked by secondary materials and interviews made in Moţţa, Gonča, Inӓbsé and
