Abstract:
he purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self efficacy, learning
strategy, study habit and academic performance. To achieve this objective, 190 students were
sampled using simple random sampling technique. Questionnaire was administered to them. In
L addition, the average academic score of the 168 students who filled the questionnaire correctly
were taken from record office. Then the data were analyzed using percentage. In addition, the
relationship between variables, self efficacy, learning strategy, study habit and academic
performance were examined by correlational analysis. Moreover, to predict the influence of the
independent variables self efficacy, learning strategy, and study habit on the dependest variable
academic performance altogether and individually regression analysis was conducted. On the
other hand, J 8 students were interviewed. .. The data collected by interview were also analyzed
qualitatively. The result inter-correlation analysis revealed significant relationship among
variables. In addition, the result of regression analysis .indicated that 55.5% of the variance of
academic performance was accounted for the combination effects of self efficacy, learning
strategy and study. habit. Specifically, 26.866%, 17.071% and 11.6178% were contributed by
study habits, self efficacy and learning strategy respectively. Moreover, the percentage
description of the study revealed that students seem to have poor study habit, low self efficacy
and use ineffective learning strategies. Based on such results recommendations w~re forwarded.
