for the nation as well as tile region. The sex ratio after birth is shown to be 101
and 101 males per 100 females for 1994 and 2008, respectively. In the latter case,
we can sec that Finote-selam lOWt'I has almost equal male/ female population
distribution in the last fifteen ycara. There are currently no significant diversities
in religious and ethnicity of the inhabitants of the town. Amharas and orthodox
Christiaris compose significant proportions of current population of the Lown. This
may not. however, continue in the future; there can be increased religious and
ethnic diversities and other cultural differences in the future. The study has
poaitively stipulated the effect of such expected trends of population disparities
and differences: Given the long stayed mid effective cross-cultural management
experience of the inhabitants and the recent government's effort in reinforcing the
same, this socio-economic study has predicted very minimal conflicts :ind/Clt'
cross-cultural management malfunctions for the town. The major ernploymcnt
opportunities available for most sampled household heads are g(wernrnent offices
and self employment. The survey result has showed that the private sector of the
town is not yet well stimulated in creating adequate employment opportunities.
