dc.description.abstract The natural antimicrobial finish have non-toxic, non-allergic and non-irritant properties than synthetic antimicrobial finish. The textile clothing treated with natural plant comfortable and the natural finish effluent eco-friendly and also it is easily to available. Antimicrobial finishing treatment on cotton textile fabric were carried out using extract from natural plant Solanum Incanum fruit. The active substance was extracted from 150g fruit powder by used soxhlet apparatus at 1000c.100% dyed cotton fabric were treated with 15, 20, 25, 30 g/l concentration of Solanum Incanum fruit by pad dry curing method. These finished sample were subjected to an antibacterial activity test against S. aureus and E.coli used Disc Diffusion (SN 195 920).Disc diffusion method is qualitative test method. To know the effect of Solanum Incanum fruit by using caliper measured from edge to edge across the zone of inhibition over the center of treated fabric. High zone of inhibition obtained from 30g/l concentration relative to the other concentration. The zone of inhibition of treated sample with concentration 30g/l for S. aureus bacteria 80mm and for E.coli 70mm. The durability of the finish after five wash for zone of inhibition of fabric was also studied and found to be good. en_US
