The main purpose of this study was to compare the level of group cohesion among high performing and low performing one to five learning groups in math among grade 10 students in Chagni General Secondary and Preparatory school. In progress of this study, Dimensions of group cohesion (Individual Attraction to Group-Social, Individual Attraction to Group-Task, Group Integration-Social, and Group Integration-Task)were identified and measured. A quantitative methodology with descriptive research design was employed. Standard Group Environment Questionnaire (GEQ) with some contextual modifications was adopted in order to gather required data from 216 participants (108 from low performing groups and108 from high performing groups) who were selected by using purposive sampling technique. 208 (102 from low performing and 106 from high performing) usable questionnaires which yielded 96.3 of response rate were collected and analyzed by using Multivariate Analysis of Variables (MANOVA) technique. The result revealed that only Individual attraction to group-Task was found as to be significantly different among high performing and low performing one to five learning groups in math at Chagni General Secondary and Preparatory School. The higher performing one to five learning groups has the higher level of Individual Attraction to group-Task. Whereas, No significant differences were observed among Group interaction-Social, Group Interaction-Task, and Individual Attraction to Group-Social with math achievement. Chagni General Secondary and Preparatory School Grade 10 high performing one to five learning groups have higher Attraction to Group-Task than low performing one to five groups in math. Attractive, Participatory for low performing group members, and reinforcing for helpful group leaders method of group learning was recommended. Besides, the fortnight appraisal should focus on motivating members so that Students practice, love and help one another.
